Princess and the Frog - Review
First, let me just say I am elated the they, the media, finally put a princess of color on the Big screen...took long enough though after the failed attempts with Pocahontas or Jasmine, from the movie, Aladdin (the directors, John Musker & Ron Clements, also directed Aladdin) ; some try to argue they were sufficient depictions of princesses of color, WRONG. Those characters did not truly identify with the deep diverse culture of "black" folks (or some may prefer, people of color or African American) in the United States.
